For over 40 years, Garuda Metalindo traces its roots back to 1966 as a humble home industry workshop producing spare parts for rickshaws (becak) in Indonesia.

In 1982, the operations was incorporated into PT. Garuda Metalindo and the Company started producing various fasteners for general industrial use.

Seeing a need for locally-produced components, Garuda Metalindo began to diversify its manufacturing capabilities to produce a variety of 2 wheel and 4 wheel automotive components. In 1989, the Company started supplying bolts and nuts for motorcycle manufacturing and in 1992, for automobile manufacturing.

In 2015, the Company achieved another significant milestone by listing on the Indonesia Stock Exchange as PT Garuda Metalindo Tbk (ticker code IDX: BOLT).

In 2017, the Company acquired a steel wire and bar processing company, MPF Special Steel to further strengthen its position by integrating its upstream process.
